Dr. Andrew Lee practices internal medicine with his wife, Dr. Renee Chen-Lee, in Washington, D.C. A native Washingtonian, Dr. Lee followed the footsteps of his father, Dr. Toon Lee, and joined his practice in 1999. Dr. Lee has been fortunate to practice medicine and provide care for those in Washington, D.C.’s Chinatown where his practice is located.
Dr. Lee has been twice named a Washington Magazine “Top Doc” in the last two issues under internal medicine, and holds a clinical appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine with The George Washington University School of Medicine.
He earned his undergraduate degree from The American University and his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a traditional rotating internship at the New York Methodist Hospital, and then completed his internal medicine residency, as well as a chief year, at the Graduate Hospital – Drexel University of Philadelphia.
Dr. Lee and his wife enjoy spending their non-working hours with their four children. As you can imagine, there is very little room for boredom in his life.
Of his work with HBI-DC, Dr. Lee says, “Volunteering with HBI-DC has been such a heartening experience to see so many committed individuals come together and make a positive impact on their community. I am privileged to be a participant in an organization such as HBI-DC.”
