Health Betterment Initiative (HBI) offers fee-for-service laboratory testing and screening to community organizations, shelters, rehabilitation programs, and clinical partners across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. If your organization serves populations who need reliable, accessible screening but you don’t have the clinical infrastructure to deliver it in-house, we can bring that capacity directly to you.
How It Works
HBI’s community health worker-led model was built to meet people where they are — shelters, rehabilitation clinics, community centers, and mobile outreach sites. Through our fee-for-service model, partner organizations can contract with HBI to provide:

On-site or mobile lab draws and specimen collection

Rapid and laboratory-confirmed testing

Clinical result interpretation and patient-facing result letters

Direct linkage-to-care coordination for positive or abnormal results

Flexible scheduling, including recurring or monthly screening events

Sustainability Reports & Data Analysis
Beyond lab testing, HBI offers fee-for-service data and reporting support for partner organizations, including:

If your organization is collecting screening or program data but doesn’t have the internal capacity to analyze or report on it, HBI can provide that analysis as a standalone service or bundled with our lab testing partnership.
