HBI-Minnesota (HBI-MN) Program Manager

Dan-Tam’s passion is alleviating health disparities by increasing healthcare awareness and access in underserved populations. As the program manager, she focuses on expanding HBI-DC’s work to the immigrant populations of Minnesota. She reaches out to underserved communities and works with community leaders, healthcare providers and government agencies to organize free viral hepatitis education, screenings and vaccinations. Dan-Tam graduated with a Master’s of Science Degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She is trained in disaster preparedness and certified through FEMA’s CERT program (Community Emergency Response Team). She is fluent in Vietnamese and conversational in Spanish. In her spare time, she runs a fitness blog and likes to stays active through Zumba.

HBI-DC is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Our organization’s mission is to mobilize communities to prevent liver diseases caused by viral hepatitis among Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, African immigrants, and other high-risk groups.
