Dr. Sang Tran


Dr. Sang Tran is a former soldier and surgeon, trained in Saigon Medical School, South Vietnam. He previously served as an instructor at the Saigon Medical School, in the Department of Pulmonary Diseases and Tuberculosis. Dr. Tran left Vietnam by boat in 1982 and arrived in California in 1983.

Stateside, he retrained in Internal Medicine at Lutheran Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio. In 1991, he returned to his medical practice and is currently practicing in Falls Church, VA. Dr. Tran is a speaker for Bristol Myers Squibs and Gilead. He is an advisory member and speaker for the Asian Health Foundation, and a member of American College of Physicians (ACP) and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD).

HBI-DC is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Our organization’s mission is to mobilize communities to prevent liver diseases caused by viral hepatitis among Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, African immigrants, and other high-risk groups.
