Yvonne Brooks-Little


Yvonne Brooks-Little is Vice Chair on the Board of Directors at HBI-DC​. In addition to being a board member, Yvonne currently consults as a Holistic Healthcare Practitioner focusing on optimal health and wellness. Her vision is to close the gap on health disparities in this nation and internationally with a focus on women and children. Her goal is to work as a change agent in shifting the paradigm on health and wellness.

Yvonne earned her Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy Technology from Howard University. She worked in the field of radiation oncology at some of the top institutions in the United States as a radiation therapist, dosimetrist, and university instructor before retiring. Some of the institutions she has worked for include Georgetown University Hospital, Duke University Medical Center, and Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

She currently services as Medical Missions Director of Local and International Health Programs for Bethel World Outreach Church City of Hope and BWOMI and also has served on the mission field in Ghana, Cameroon, DRC, Liberia and Cote d’Ivoire.

HBI-DC is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Our organization’s mission is to mobilize communities to prevent liver diseases caused by viral hepatitis among Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, African immigrants, and other high-risk groups.
